The boys are growing up so fast, it is unreal. It is hard to believe that Aidan will be 5 next month and Liam will be 3 a week later.

On May 24th, I found out that I was pregnant again. We were so excited. When we went in for the 1st u/s on June 17th, we found out that all was not well. Even though I was almost 9 weeks along, the baby only measured 6 weeks w/ no heartbeat or movement detected. I had a D&C on June 19th. On June 26th, I woke up and had a seizure. After a morning in the ER, I went back to the ob's for another u/s b/c I had been bleeding since the Sat before. They found a big bloodclot and more implantation tissue, so I went back to the hospital for a 2nd D&C that day. I had another seizure on Aug 17th. I am now on meds and unable to drive.

The day I went back to work in July is the same day that Chris lost his job. We are hoping that something pans out really really soon.

The boys have their ABC's down and most of the numbers 1-10 and some beyond. We are hoping to get Aidan in to one of the charter schools next year. I don't like that the public schools change every year. If we can get into East Wake Academy or Franklin Academy( both use a lottery system for admission), then it will be K-12, so no changing schools. ::cross fingers::

Wish us luck... we need all the prayers and well wishes we can get.

Liam Patrick was born on Oct 27,2005. He's a laid back fellow.

He is now alomst 7 months old. Where did the time go?!

he is now:

eating a few solid foods
sometimes holding his own bottle
crawling like no tomorrow
pulling up to stand
teething
babbling
loves to terrorize the cats and Aidan

I just found out yesterday that mommy's gonna give me a little brother or sister around my 2nd birthday. I'm excited. This means I get to teach him/her how to wreck the living room and terrorize the kitties. I can't wait!

Well all, it has been a long time since this has been updated. We don't know how many of you keep checking this, but we're updating you guys anyway ^_^.

Aidan's due date has come and gone. We are now past 41 weeks and if the lil' one doesn't decide to come out on his own, we're evicting him from the womb via induction Monday morning at 7am.

We're still hoping that Tabby won't have a C-section, but we'll see.

Oh, reasons for lack of update...we just bought a new house and recently moved in. I'm still putting together the office/computer...but it's tough when all your possessions are still in the garage!

Well...2 months to go till Tabby pops. Aidan Nathaniel is kicking ribs and punching organs and making Tabby's life a painful one. When she tries to sit up from the bed in the morning or evening, her tummy distorts and you can see an outline of our son.

The builder finally broke ground on our house...foundation work should be done within the next week. So much going on all at once, it's a wonder we survive ourselves.

Tabby is applying for a permanent position at her office...yeah!!! Hopefully she gets it. Be nice to have her on salary. Chris, well...he's looking for work elsewhere since it looks like the call center he works for is barely squeeking by. New clients coming in (good) big client leaving (bad) and now back on hourly and taking calls himself. BLEH!

That's the quick update. Hope to see/hear from you all sometime soon!

Tabby and I went in for an ultrasound (both my mom and her mom with us) and the baby is healthy, no problems. When the doctor/tech was getting all the pictures for the medical records, she piped up with, "Uh-oh...there's DEFINATELY a stem on that apple!" *chuckle* Not at all shy...definately my son. ^_^

I can't believe it...a son. THe joke about a mini me is pretty close *chuckle*.

A son....We're having a baby boy. WOW! Aidan Nathaniel Hemphill....wow.

Tabby started her new job yesterday! Yeah for full time work (though she was wiped from going through files all day yesterday). Last Friday, we heard the baby's heartbeat (Very cool) and we should be able to find out the sex in less than 6 weeks. Now...I have to figure some way to clean the Office-That-Never-Was (OTNW for short) and start preparing it for the baby. Anyone want to help? If so, drop a line!

I am to the point where my clothes no longer fit. I will now have to go shopping for maternity clothes.

Yay me! Me in those shorts with the stretchy, very noticeable underbelly patch on them.

At least when I wear overall shorts I look exactly as I am, pregnant.

Well it looks like Chris' family has decided that the theme for this baby will be DUCKS. Sue and Kelly gave us a plush duckie that quacks and now his aunt and uncle have given us another little plush duckie, a duckie bib that honks. Along with the duckie stuff they sent us some baby spoons, teether beads and the book, Goodnight Moon.

I think it's funny that this pattern is forming. I didn't say that it was what i wanted, but oh well.

We had our 1st ultrasound yesterday.

It is a cute little jellybean. It's little heart beats at 161 beats per minute. It's arms and legs are growing and it still has a little bit of a tail.

Everything is looking good. They moved my due date to the 12 of Oct. It's getting closer and closer to being a Halloween baby.

Tabby had her first ultrasounds today and the baby is healthy! The "Jellybean," as Tabby puts it, is a lil' over an inch long. Due date has been moved to October 15th (at this rate it'll be born on Halloween and my dad has threaten to nickname the child "Pumpkin Head"). As soon as I can get them scanned and on a server, the ultrasound pictures will be posted here. ^_^ As it stands, it has a head, arm and leg buds (no hands and feet yet) and the tail is still there. It does have a heartbeat (162 bpm, YEAHHHHHHH!!) and is still living off the yolk sac. The info we've been given states that in the next couple weeks or so, the placenta should be developed enough for the baby to lose the yolk sac, I think. I'm also coming down with a bad cold (weee) so my memory isn't 100% right now.

I'm just a happy father to be.

I've gone through admin stuff to allow all you guys to post stuff here, finally. ^_^ Any thoughts, ideas, whatever that you want to share, ask, etc can be put up here. We're going to use this to keep friends of ours, from all over the world, who are on lj updated on our progress with the baby during pregnancy and afterwards.

If any of you have children/family/friend things you want to talk about here...kewl. This is a way to share our personal family with our extended family.

Did some research on my insurance to see what kind of maternity coverage Tabby and I have. Get this...$10 copay for 1st prenatal visit (a week from today) and then 100% coverage after that. That includes any complications, C-sections, NICU, etc. XS might be a pain in the tail about some things, but do they ever make sure we're covered for bundles of joy! ^__^ I feel much better with the idea of sticking here till the economy turns around now.

Game plan for next 10 months: Follow through with all prenatal things, finish cleaning up debts, give birth, sign a contract on a house. How many of those things happen will depend on a lot of factors...but it's doable.
